Use this great tool to see where you can travel now
By now, we are all used to the futility of making travel plans. The situation is very fluid with rules changing according to the local situations. And just because a place is open to visitors doesn’t mean anything is open when you get there.
Where do I plan to go next and when? I have thrown the concept of “plan” out the window. Instead, I have ideas of where I want to go which I will monitor and then I will book and go within a week!
All that research can be time-consuming, however. But this is a great tool to put it all together – Airheart Explorer.
It is a fully interactive map. You put in your departure place and then at a colour-coded map of the world to see if your travel is allowable, restricted or unknown.
Below the map is a list of countries with symbols that show the requirements as well as risk level. You can click on a country to expand that information as well as provide local information.
And it is very convenient that it also has information for restrictions and policies for your return trip home.
There are links to the US Embassy for more information and to a Sherpa app for visa information and eVisa applications.
However, I recommend going directly to the official country site for the visa application. I have no experience with Sherpa so I can’t really comment on it specifically, but for all of my travels, I have applied for a visa directly with the official government site as the safest and most secure option.
And also go directly to the official country site to confirm the policies and restrictions that you found on the Airheart site. This is an extra step, but Airheart has already saved you a lot of steps by providing all the information in one place.
In answer to the question of where and when will I travel next? It will be in September, and this tool will help me decide the destination!
