Safari Video Preview – getting more excited for October!

With wet snow falling as I write this, how happy I am to be planning my African Safari in October. I had always thought that going on a safari was a far-off dream, but now it is only months away!

And just in time to make it more real and easier to imagine the warmth of the Tanzanian sun, I watch this video that Eugene from Legacy Exchange outfitters.

Can one get a better hello, than that giraffe?

Just look at those elephants! Of course, the babies won’t be babies by the time I get there. That’s okay, I am going to see elephants live, of every size.

Then there are the other animals, and the landscape and that sky! With luck, I (and you if you decide to come) will witness the great wildebeest migration.

And those happy, smiling, glowing faces of the children in the classroom when they visit.  Good gracious, whatever will I tell them about me? I mean, that will make sense to them, not that I am a nomad and have done various things that cover more than one industry! Luckily, I have months to think about that! I suspect I will keep it easy and say that I am retired with interests in travel, writing and photography.

There was one student who said that he wants to be a soldier. I would love to be able to ask why and what that means to him. Mostly, I would love to teach in that classroom, with those students. Note to self: check for teaching volunteer opportunities in Tanzania.
