Come on Safari with me October 2022!

Come on Safari with me in October 2022

My decision is made – I am going to Tanzania in October to hopefully watch the great wildebeest migration, and as many of the 78 mammals and more than 400 bird species as possible. Most of them I am sure that I have never heard of but hope to “capture” on camera.

I will be going with Legacy Exchange Outfitters, whose founder, Eugene, I met at the final New York Times Travel Show in 2020. What impressed me is his sincere commitment to social change, to changing lives through safari. As he reminds me, he has benefited greatly from tourism and so he has dedicated his life to tourism with the motto “Together We Create the Change.” The more we speak about his ideas and actions, the more I want to go and support what he does.

The itinerary includes a visit to a cultural village, Mkomazi National Park, hiking/trekking on Kilimanjaro Shira Plateau, a nature walk in Arusha National Park, Massai experience, Tarangire National Park, Serengeti National Park, Ngorongoro and the Ngorongoro Crater Tour.

And the highlights of course will be seeing all the animals and birds, the landscape and spending time with the Tanzanians.

To prepare, I will try and read books in Tanzania as well as watch films. Luckily, I see that Netflix is now offering its first Tanzanian film, which I will watch tonight.

I know that no matter how much I prepare, I will be awed by the real experience.

Come with me!! The tour will accommodate up to 10 people and include the full spectrum of what Tanzania can offer – wildlife and photography safaris, local cultural exchange, trekking, walking, bird-watching and more.

The tour can accommodate up to 10 people and I am so excited already. It promises to be an exciting and fulfilling trip.

I will also be staying on after the tour to explore further and do some volunteering.

Tanzania awaits you. And me!
