A huge thanks to Legacy Exchange Outfitters, founder Eugen and his guides for the fantastic safari and trip of a lifetime (though I already planning another safari with them!) Eugen’s vision of “Together We Create the Change” is central to everything they do.

We spent time in Serengeti, Ngorongoro Crater, Tarangire National Park and Arusha National Park, and Lake Eyasi and Lake Munyara. It was thrilling to see so many animals, birds and reptiles (too many to write here!) and even the wildebeest migration. (My advice is to go for as many days as you can!!)

Our wonderful guides shared their broad and deep knowledge and experience about each animal’s habits, lives and personalities. What puts the baby rhino at risk? How do you know the kind of gazelle? How do you know…? Go on safari and find out! We even had a picnic lunch at a secluded viewpoint overlooking a lake!

We had unique and genuine interactions with Tanzanian communities, with visits to 2 tribes, a village, a coffee plantation, a school, an orphanage and an enterprise for differently-abled people.

Thanks to Eugen and the guides, I gained an appreciation for the immensity and importance of Tanzania’s riches of nature and its part in the fabric of Tanzania’s heritage and culture.

Eugen and his team truly love their work and are very professional and caring. And I credit them for how much fun we had and how the group bonded. So much laughter and shared joy with new lifelong friends and memories!
